This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and job challenge partially or simultaneously on job insecurity among startup employees in Indonesia. This research method was conducted quantitatively, with a sample of 170 startup employees who have worked for at least 1 year. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The results of the study: 1) Leadership style influences job insecurity. 2) Job challenge influences job insecurity. 3) Leadership style and job challenge influence job insecurity. The independent variable explains 64.9% of the dependent variable. The practical implication of this study is that communication between leaders and employees needs to be improved in order to maintain harmonious working relationships. Leaders must provide guidance to employees so that employees can develop and identify their own work. In addition, companies should be transparent about their conditions and future plans, thereby creating a comfortable and safe work environment. This study only involved employees who participated in the online discussion forum in December 2025. Future research is expected to add variables that trigger job insecurity or be conducted in other business sectors.
