This Community Service (PKM) activity was conducted at PT. MADCHAN (MDC) Group in Lamongan Regency. The goal was to disseminate research findings regarding the influence of the work environment, training, and facilities on employee job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is a crucial factor in increasing productivity, loyalty, and company sustainability. Therefore, human resource management needs to be strategic and based on empirical evaluation.
The approach used in this activity was descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Twelve informants participated in the research, including HR managers, supervisors, permanent employees, and contract employees. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The results indicated that the physical work environment at the company was considered quite good, in terms of cleanliness, lighting, and ventilation. However, non-physical work environment aspects such as vertical communication and workload management still need improvement. Training has been conducted periodically, but its frequency and distribution are not optimal, and it is still dominated by technical materials. Work facilities are generally adequate, although some equipment requires updating to improve efficiency. Overall, the work environment, training, and facilities have been shown to contribute to employee job satisfaction. Dissemination of the research findings encouraged management's commitment to evaluating the work environment, developing needs-based training programs, and gradually modernizing facilities. These activities imply that improving job satisfaction requires a holistic and sustainable approach to human resource management.
